Cheering for your NOW 👏🏾!
Do you remember when you wanted what you currently have? Take a moment, ok several moments to cheer for yourself, for accomplishing your goals and for being still in the present time. You did THAT!!! That proud feeling, that smile, that high five is everything you deserve.
How often do we plan our goals & dreams, make it happen then hurry on to the next thing/idea? There’s nothing wrong with setting a multi-step process in place but take time to celebrate.
I think about when a couple starts seriously dating then they’re asked about getting engaged. Once the question is popped then they’re asked when is the wedding. They tie the knot and at the wedding reception they’re asked when are they having their first child. After the first child is born and before the delivery juices dry they are asked about the second child. Whew, chill out bruh 😤!
Whether it’s internal or external pressures, hitting the pause button once in a while is important. It allows for time to rejoice, reflect and refuel. Tomorrow is not promised so enjoy Today!

Hello and welcome to Mommy Scoreboard. It’s been several years but I remember starting my college application essay with the sentence, “You can always find me with a pen in one hand a basketball in the other.” I enjoy writing but the sport of basketball has been my ultimate joy. Fast forward and now I am the proud parent of three children, a happily married woman and an accomplished recreational basketball player. If I had to update my essay sentence it would read, “You can always find me with a pen, a basketball, a kid or two, a mobile device, a skillet, random toy part, a sippy cup, baby wipes, hand sanitizer and face masks in my hands”…WOW, have times gotten better!
